You can add variable pictures and complex URLs to alerts and reminders. First, go to the “My alerts” page and click the edit icon next to the alert you would like to add variable images to.

In the alert settings, find the “Message view” block. This is where we will add the image.

When you click “Add complex link," you should choose a title source and a URL source.

You can include links, pictures, or tables in the alert email if you need to send an alert about list items containing attachments. These options are in the “Message view” block.

You can create tables in your alert and define the values of the table border and column width. You can also choose the number of columns and rows in your table.

You can define the header, body, or footer for an alert and save any or all of them as a template.

For example, style the header as desired and click the save icon.

Specify the name for the template and click “Save.”

How to merge summary alerts in one alert with a table

You can merge several alerts into one report with a single table, for example, to create a daily report and merge all list changes into a single table.

First, create an alert with a daily or weekly summary condition.

Add a table to the email body.

The alert body must contain the table only. The table must be the first element in your email body, added without spaces.

The Virto Alerts & Reminder App supports the “User in group” operator, enabling you to send alerts to people in a certain group or when people make changes in a certain group.

When you create or edit an alert, go to the “Options” block. In the “Use condition(s)” option, you can add the “User in group” operator to the “Modified by” field.

With this option, you can apply the condition to send an alert when a user belongs to a particular group. For example, there is a group of document approvers at different levels. When the document’s status changes to “Approve it,” the alert is sent to the approvers.
