How to add a SharePoint list as a new data source with recurring events support

You can add a SharePoint list as a data source in two ways: as a standard list for one-time events or as a recurrence-enabled list for repeating events. Recurring events will only work if you select the recurrence option when connecting the list.

All available data sources for a Virto calendar are listed in the “Available SharePoint data sources” tab. You can use them to create various combinations of data sources in different calendars.

The list of SharePoint data sources added to a Virto calendar is sorted in alphabetical order by default. You can change the default order by using the arrows or check the box “Use the exact data source order” to show data sources in order of creation.

Adding a New Data Source

This guide shows you how to add a new calendar from a SharePoint list.

First, click the calendar name.

Calendar name in the upper left corner.

Choose one of two options in the “General” tab: “Add existing data source” or “Create new SharePoint data source.”

If you add an existing data source, choose a SharePoint list from the drop-down list.
