General Settings

In this section of the guide, you can find details about the “General” tab.

In the “General” tab, you can change the calendar name and add a data source (from an existing data source or by creating a new one).

Data sources and basic options#

You can enable the “Add event status to title” option, “Use the client’s time zone to view events,” and select the fields displayed for various views (week, month, etc.).

Unify Categories

If you have multiple data sources with various categories, too many colors in the calendar may be confusing.

In this case, you can unify the categories. Just decide once which colors to use for each category in your calendar: divide all the events into groups, such as meetings, birthdays, or get-together events, and specify the colors for them. These colors will be the same for each data source in your calendar.

Multiday Settings

The “Multiday” tab allows you to customize settings for views spanning multiple days, offering flexibility and a tailored calendar experience.

Available Options:#

Row Height: Define the height of rows for optimal readability.
Number of Rows: Set the number of rows displayed per hour.
Time Labels per Hour: Adjust the number of time labels shown within an hour.
Time Format: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour time formats.
Font Size and Weight: Customize the text size and boldness for better clarity.

Multiday view settings

Live View allows you to stay updated with real-time changes in the Day View.#

Refresh Intervals:
Select how frequently the Day View refreshes, with options ranging from 5 to 30 minutes.
Display Options:
- Hide the timeline to remove the current time indicator for a cleaner interface.
- Hide non-working hours to focus on relevant time blocks.

Month Settings

In the “Month” tab, you can customize your preferences for the month view: define the display mode, item height and font size, set the text for additional items, and determine the number of weeks in a month.

You can also enable the option to “Hide event start time on the event card.”

Calendar Settings

In the “Calendar” tab, you can set working days, select the day the week starts, and define the duration of the workday.

Task Settings

Virto Calendar App supports viewing events as tasks or a Gantt view. For these views, you can specify the day count, item height, number of columns per hour, and the time format in the header.

Year Settings

The “Year” tab allows you to define the display mode, item height, the text displayed if there are additional items, and the month when the first quarter starts.
